About.

I first picked up the trumpet at the age of 7 and knew instantly that it was the right instrument for me. As a trumpet player I've been lucky to play in some of London's most successful musicals, from Back to the Future to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and many more (not all of them have flying cars) in between.

My playing experience takes me from touring the world with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to performing with with The Who at the O2 Arena. From playing lead trumpet at Ronnie Scott's to performing with top contemporary music ensembles in some interesting installations or being sat in the studio at Abbey Road, there are very few situations that require a trumpet that I haven't played in.

I've always been heavily involved in music education alongside my playing career. It is a hugely important part of being a musician. Being able to pass on what I've learnt from teachers and colleagues in the past to the next generation of trumpet players is an essential part of life as a musician.

Currently I hold the post of trumpet teacher at St Alban's High School for Girls, where I've been since 2012. Since my studies at Trinity College of Music I've been involved in many areas of education, teaching and holding workshops in the London boroughs and more locally for schools in Hertfordshire, where I'm often found coaching the county youth music groups.
